Kayla's Update 1-12-07

Good news today, Kayla has been doing much better. They really appreciate all of you calls and prayers, they have been a big help.

She hasn't had a fever since Wednesday afternoon, and her white counts are coming up on their own. If that keeps up, they'll start taking her off of some of the antibiotics that they've had her on. The good thing about that is, it's one step closer to coming home.

The plan is to do another bone marrow on Tuesday, keep praying that it comes out clean, that means there is no cancer in her body. It's a miracle how well things have been going, we thank God every day for taking such great care of her.

For those of you that do not know, they held a benefit for her last night (Thursday) in Hickory Ridge and it was a HUGE success. They (my mom and dad, Cindy & Ricky) said that there were more people in the city hall than they had ever seen. They ended up raising about $18,700 for Kayla. That alone could help pay off her car and her insurance for a year and still have money to put back for school. It is just amazing how wonderful people are in situations like this.

Keep those calls, cards and prayers coming, there is still a lot that needs to happen, but so far, it's looking great. I wanted to post her room phone number again, it's 501-614-2675. Feel free to give them a call and let Kayla know you are praying for her. If you have any other questions, you can also e-mail me by clicking the e-mail button at the bottom of this post.

That's all for now, I hope you all have a great day and a great weekend!

Just want you to know we are praying for you and your bone marrow test tomorrow. We're so happy about the wonderful people of Hickory Ridge and their gifts to you. You so deserve it - you and your whole family. We are continuing to pray and know how much you're loved, not just by God, but by so many, many people. With our love and prayers,
